Lizzie Queen is clearly an amazing dog!

Dropped off in a small neighborhood in Arkansas, she was never welcomed into her

“adoptive” home (she was fed out on the front porch), so she roamed the neighborhood and made many friends. Not once in the two years that her foster mom has known her, did Lizzie ever enter a house. She would go from kind neighbor house to kind neighbor house getting treats. Her "home" did not provide her with a dog house or blankets in the cold weather, so she was really on her own. During that 2-year

period, she had many male suitors - three litters, and over 20 puppies. With the last two litters, a neighbor opened a shed in his backyard and welcomed her and her puppies into it. One of the puppies from her last litter still lives in that neighborhood and the two of them loved to play and rough-house. Now that she's actually in a foster home, Lizzie is thrilled to pieces!

Lizzie appears to be a Hound mix about 3 years old. She gets along fine with all dogs and is uninterested in cats or chickens. She LOVES people and is very playful with little ones to big ones. She was the "greeter" at that house in her old neighborhood - when the bus or any car drove in, she would be right there to say, "hi!" She craves attention and affection. She loves to crawl into her foster mom's lap or be petted. Touch and attention are huge motivating factors for her. She also responds well to treats and should do well in obedience classes. We strongly recommend our dogs attend obedience training so you and your newest family member can learn cool stuff together, socialize with new dogs and people, and get in some quality bonding time. Lizzie already knows "sit" and would love to learn more! A fenced yard is the ideal safe place for your dog to run and play - and Lizzie can get over a 4-ft. fence so a 6-ft. is recommended - if a fence isn't an option then daily leash walks with opportunities for off-leash play in a dog park are the next best thing. Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental exercise - think puzzle toys and games. She rides calmly while loose in the car, rarely barks, LOVES going places and meeting new people. She also likes walks and digging! Lizzie gets fed in her crate and then the door is left open for the day. Sometimes she curls up in there, but for the most part she's either on a futon in the living room or curled up on the pillows of the bed. When her foster mom put the futon cover in the wash, she piled all the pillows on the coffee table. Take a peek at the photos that show how Lizzie dealt with this! (Hint: A coffee table is totally comfortable when piled with pillows!) At night she sleeps with her foster mom, usually under the covers with a foster sibling. She has never had an accident in the house.

Lizzie Queen's foster mom says, "She is overall one of the most affectionate, easiest dogs that I have EVER worked with." If this amazing girl is the one who'll complete your family, fill out an application today! Lizzie can't wait to get in some serious snuggle time with her new forever people!
